The City of Pottsboro has three municipal parks situated on over 45 acres of land scattered throughout town. The parks offer a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for the citizens of Pottsboro and the surrounding area.
The newest of the three parks, this 28 acre facility offers a wide variety of outdoor activities and is located on Grayson Street in southwest Pottsboro. The facility includes three soccer fields, two ball fields, a fishing pond, walking trail, basketball court, playground area, gazebo, two picnic shelters and other recreational components.
Conveniently located on FM 120, Friendship Park offers playground equipment, a gazebo, picnic tables and benches, a historical bridge, restroom facility, and plenty of open space for activities such as soccer and baseball. Several community events are held in the park each year including the annual Frontier Days festival.
Located just off FM 120, The Ball Park includes two youth sized baseball fields, one youth sized softball field, a concession/restroom facility and playground equipment. Each spring, the complex is used primarily by the Pottsboro Youth Association with over 350 area youth participating in organized baseball and softball seasons.
