Frontier Day

The last Saturday of September each year, Pottsboro celebrates Frontier Day. This is Pottsboro’s way of remembering the cattle drives beginning in the 1850’s and others traveling the Shawnee Trail which spanned from the Red River into Dallas. Settlers who decided to stay versus pass through formed the community of Pottsboro. The cattle drives ceased in the 1870’s, but the history will never be lost and the annual celebration in Pottsboro continues…

Awards Banquet

Held annually recognizing Business, Non-Profit, Citizen and Volunteer of the Year. These prestigious awards are given to businesses and individuals who have committed time and dedication to our community.

Boot Scootin’ Ball

Volunteers, sponsors, businesses and individuals come together to put on one of Lake Texoma’s premier events, the Annual Boot Scootin’ Ball, benefiting Preston Volunteer Emergency Services, Inc (PVES). The foundation provides funding assistance for the all volunteer fire department and paid emergency responders, and is critical to the support of the Pottsboro community and the over 1 million visitors each…
